Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) participated in the international conference “Bologna Process in the Danube Region – Rectors’ Policy Dialogue” and the National Higher Education Meeting for the BPLab Kick-off, hosted by the University of Ruse in Bulgaria.
IBCM was represented by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gjokaj and Dean of the Faculty of International Business Management, Prof. Asst. Shaip Gashi, who joined university representatives, policymakers, and higher education experts from across the Danube region and Europe.
The event was organized within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and focused on strengthening cooperation and dialogue around the future of higher education, quality assurance, academic recognition, innovation, and internationalization.
Located in the city of Ruse, one of Bulgaria’s most important academic and cultural centers along the Danube River, the University of Ruse is recognized as a leading institution in the Danube region, known for its strong international partnerships, multidisciplinary approach, and modern research infrastructure. The university has over 80 years of academic tradition and plays an important role in regional innovation and European academic cooperation.

Such international experiences are highly important for IBCM’s continuous efforts to bring contemporary practices, innovative approaches, and European expertise to Kosovo’s higher education sector while strengthening the institution’s international profile and commitment to quality education.
