IBCM Hosts Hungarian Ambassador to Explore New Opportunities for Academic Cooperation

The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) had the pleasure of welcoming H.E. László István Dux, Ambassador of Hungary to Kosovo, accompanied by Ms. Mirdita Bicaj, representatives of the Embassy of Hungary, for an official visit to the college.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, Rector of IBCM, and Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gjokaj, Vice Rector for International Cooperation, Projects, Innovation and Scientific Research.

The visit began with a tour of IBCM’s facilities, where the delegation was introduced to the institution’s academic programs, modern learning environment, and strategic vision for future development. During the meeting, IBCM representatives presented the college’s ongoing internationalization efforts, academic achievements, and plans for expanding international cooperation.

During the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa shared IBCM’s future development plans, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to strengthening its international dimension, supporting Kosovo’s European integration process through education, and creating new opportunities for students and academic staff.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gjokaj presented IBCM’s growing portfolio of international projects and partnerships, highlighting the institution’s successful participation in Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, and other European initiatives. Discussions focused on the increasing number of international mobility opportunities available to IBCM students and staff, as well as the college’s achievements in securing and implementing international projects.

Particular attention was given to existing and future cooperation opportunities with Hungarian higher education institutions. The discussions highlighted IBCM’s collaborations and academic links with Milton Friedman University and the University of Szeged, while also exploring possibilities for expanding cooperation with additional Hungarian universities and research institutions.

Furthermore, the Ambassador introduced several Hungarian institutions and research centers with strong potential for future collaboration, including opportunities for joint research projects, academic exchanges, and the development of new partnerships. Discussions also explored possibilities for cooperation in areas of social sciences, innovation, and international research initiatives.

IBCM remains committed to expanding its international network and developing partnerships that contribute to academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement for its students and staff.
