Representatives from the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), Prof. Asst. Agron Hajdari, Prof. Asst. Marko Smilic, Prof. Asst. Hyrmet Mydyti, and Lecturer Besart Hyseni, are currently participating in a study visit at La Salle Campus Barcelona, part of Ramon Llull University in Spain.
The visit is organized within the framework of the WeB-Nimbus Project, an Erasmus+ initiative that aims to enhance innovation, digital transformation, and collaboration among higher education institutions across the Western Balkans. This study visit also serves as a preparatory phase for the upcoming Master of Science program in Cloud and Edge Computing, designed to equip institutions with advanced digital competencies.
During the program, participants visited the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC)- the fourth largest supercomputing facility in Europe and home to the renowned MareNostrum supercomputer. The center plays a vital role in advancing high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and data science, contributing to cutting-edge research initiatives across the continent.
Engaging in this visit allows IBCM staff to exchange knowledge, explore best practices in digital education, and strengthen partnerships with European universities. Such collaborations support IBCM’s mission to bridge international expertise with local educational development, driving forward innovation and excellence in higher education.
