Meet Elsa Hasani, a final-year Public Administration and Welfare student who recently completed an inspiring Erasmus+ internship at Ungdomshuset Odense / Youth House Odense, Denmark, a vibrant youth center where young people come together for community, creativity, learning, and shared activities.
What she learned:
At Ungdomshuset Odense, Elsa didn’t just observe youth policies; she experienced them in action. By working on administrative tasks such as class reservations and daily organization, she gained practical insight into how youth engagement and community spaces function, and how they contribute to real participation and inclusive decision-making processes.
A moment of personal growth:
Elsa’s favorite part of the internship was not only the work, but also the strong sense of community. She often stayed after hours because she felt genuinely included and part of a supportive environment. Navigating life in a new country, from administrative procedures to everyday challenges, helped her strengthen her independence, confidence, and communication skills, especially when connecting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Elsa’s advice to future Erasmus+ students:
“Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. An Erasmus+ internship isn’t just about going abroad, it’s about discovering new cultures, meeting inspiring people, and creating unforgettable memories.”
