As part of the Internet of Things (IoT) course, led by lecturer Ismail Baxhaku, third-year students at IBCM participated in study visits to two leading technology companies: POLR Engineering and Kode Labs.
At POLR Engineering, hosted by founder Mr. Erjon Ameti, students gained firsthand insight into IoT-based solutions. They explored the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to hardware development, manufacturing constraints, and scaling to large-scale production. The visit highlighted both technical and strategic decision-making, allowing students to connect academic IoT concepts with real-world engineering challenges.
The second visit to Kode Labs, supported by co-founder Mr. Gentrit Gojani and guided by Mr. Eris Çunaku, introduced students to the company’s foundation, development journey, and global presence. Kode Labs provides services internationally and has employed over 200 young professionals from Kosovo. The discussion emphasized practical applications of technology and innovation, helping students connect IoT-related concepts with industry practice.
These study visits offered students a unique opportunity to see the real-world implementation of IoT solutions, enriching their academic knowledge and supporting their professional development.
