Dr. Besnik Fetahu is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Science at the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) since 2024 and a part-time Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Prishtina, since 2018. He holds a PhD in Political Science with a specialization in Social Policy from the Faculty of Social Science, University of Tirana. In addition, he holds two master’s degrees—one in Sociology and another in Political Science.

His academic expertise spans social policy, the welfare state, public policy, European studies, sociology, and political science. His research primarily focuses on welfare state models, social security systems, and contemporary social issues, with several of his works indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Dr. Fetahu also brings extensive experience in public service, having served as a political advisor across various levels of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, including the Ministry of Finance, the Assembly of Kosovo, and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. He currently serves as a board member of the Kosovo Health Insurance Fund.

He has also participated in numerous academic mobility programs and collaborations with higher education institutions in Germany, Finland, Austria, and Estonia.
