From 12-14 June 2025, representatives of the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), Prof. Asst. Milan Veselinovic and Mrs. Mirjana Krsmanovic Vlajic, Director of IBCM Finance, attended an Erasmus+ HomoDigitalis multiplier event at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies "Zdravko Grebo" (CIS) on the University of Sarajevo campus.
The Sarajevo multiplier event was focused on the dissemination of the Erasmus+ HomoDigitalis project results, promoting best practices in digital humanities, educational media, and didactical practices in higher education to stakeholders from academia, business sectors, and civil society organizations.
Teaching staff from IBCM presented the two MOOC courses designed by IBCM staff members: "Gender and Digitalisation" authored by Prof. Asst. Judita Krasniqi and "Research Methodology/Research Process" authored by Prof. Asst. Florim Gallopeni. Presenters defined how the courses contribute to capacity-building at IBCM by providing applied knowledge and simultaneously developing digital competence. His discussion highlighted the potential use of these MOOCs to equip IBCM students to overcome existing challenges and build their digital competencies.
The remaining highlight presentations were led by representatives from the University of Sarajevo. Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Dusanka Boskovic, who addressed the curricula development that includes digital skills, and Prof. Dr. Vensada Okanovic, who discussed the creation of Digital Humanities and Educational Media Laboratories. Visitors also toured the HomoDigitalis Lab, where innovative digital tools and methods for teaching were showcased.
This two-day activity ended with the participants recording follow-up actions to develop further digital capacity in higher education in the Western Balkans region.
