Creating Theory to Practice Centers for Innovation and Employment (CTPCIE)

The ‘Creating Theory to Practice Centres for Innovation and Employment’ project aims to improve the relevance of higher education for the labour market and society in Kosovo by creating sustainable models of interaction between universities and enterprises. The Theory to Practice Centres (T2Ps) will bring together more than 120 local teaching staff from six partner institutions in Kosovo engaged in peer learning activities, 189 participants in mobilities, more than 500 students benefiting from updated courses and lifelong education studies, and 450 researchers and business professionals participating at the conferences. Overall, the project will reach up to 20,000 people engaged in higher education and economy in Kosovo and abroad through its dissemination activities.

Objective 1:

To create opportunities for long term partnerships between HEI, enterprises and public sector through established T2Ps;

Objective 2

To support professional development of teaching staff based on methodological knowledge and skills transfer;

Objective 3

To modernize, update and innovate educational programs through newly developed teaching materials;

Objective 4

To provide high-quality, flexible and transparent learning outcomes responding to identified skill mismatches through updating and creating new courses;

Objective 5

To support professional development of teaching staff based on methodological knowledge and skills transfer;

The project aims to meet the above-mentioned objectives by establishing “Theory to Practice” Centres (T2P) in higher education institutions in all communities in Kosovo, in cooperation with partners from local industry and international higher education and vocational institutions. The purpose of T2Ps will be to provide a forum for innovation, knowledge exchange between researchers (theory) and enterprise (practice), capacity building and the creation of new tools addressing all key-stakeholders relevant for local development and employment.
