Launching ‘Creating Theory to Practice Centres for Innovation and Employment’ funded from Erasmus+

Today, Tuesday February 13th, IBCM and its partners University of Bonn (Germany), University of Prishtina, University “Haxhi Zeka”, University of  applied Sciences in Ferizaj, College of Economics Pec-Leposavic,  University of Prizren „Ukshin Hoti“, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Graiciunas School of Management (Lithuania), University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), and North West Regional College (UK) held the kick-off meeting for the launch of the project ‘Creating Theory to Practice Centres for Innovation and Employment’ funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. The kick-off meeting was hosted by IBCM at the Riverside Campus in Mitrovica.


All representatives from the partner institutions expressed their enthusiasm and commitment towards the successful completion of this project. This project will reach out to 20,000 persons engaged in higher education and economy in Kosovo and abroad (through its professional dissemination). Furthermore, the project includes increasing professional capacities of staff within IBCM and partnering Higher Education Institutions while also working directly with the private sector to build long-term cooperation. Additional outcomes include the modernisation and innovation of existing educational programmes while also updating and creating new courses where skill mismatches have been identified.


This kick-off meeting happening today and tomorrow will be followed by workshop (15th and 16th February) on project management led by the University of Ljubljana and University of National and World Economy after which planned activities will begin to be implemented.

This project  represents a lot of opportunities for all staff and students of the partner institutions and more. We at IBCM are excited to be leading this project and look forward to working closely with all the partners.
