IBCM receives funding from the European Commission for the Academic Year (2017/18)

18th August 2017. IBCM receives funding from the EU Commission.

International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) is pleased to announce that the European Commission will financially support IBCM operations for the upcoming Academic Year 2017-2018!

This is the result of tremendous and dedicated work of the IBCM team supported by SPARK and the enormous support of students over the last couple of months which will enable IBCM to continue with its mission in achieving long-term sustainability. Funds have been secured thanks to generous support of European Commission for 1 year duration.

Background
Following a request from the Government of Kosovo in 2008, IBCM was founded in March 2010 as an internationally registered not-for- profit foundation, operated by the Dutch non-governmental organization SPARK. Its mission is to provide high quality, practice-oriented education at an affordable rate, in order for it to be socially and economically inclusive. Delivering on its mission, IBCM has become a model of a successful higher education institution and inter-ethnic cooperation in Kosovo, with an 80% employment rate and over 40% of its student body from minority groups.

IBCM is committed to continue working closely with government, once it is formed, to secure long term governmental funding as per an agreement reached earlier to support IBCM over a period of 5 years, so that the school can continue as a strong, non-profit, independent and international college.
