IBCM continues co-operation with Danish Refugee Council

IBCM is proud to announce continued and strengthened co-operation with Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Mitrovicë/a. In the three years since a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation (MoU) was established  (1 April 2014) between IBCM and DRC, the two organisations have cooperated on a number of projects. Under the agreement, DRC also facilitates IBCM internships, having offered placements 10 of our students so far.

Last year, IBCM was contracted as a consultant to the strategic planning and constitution of the Social Business Incubator Foundation Mitrovicë/a (SBIFM), which was launched in October 2016. IBCM played an active role in institutionalizing and setting the foundational elements of the SBIFM. We produced key operational documents, such as the three-year strategic plan, which includes a results and resources framework with implementation action plan, incorporating inter alia objectives, activities, resources mobilization, key results areas and outcomes. The SBIFM is a spin-off of the DRC project to support Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian (RAE) communities in Mitrovicë/a, which is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).

IBCM is also on the Board of the SBIFM, which had its first meeting on the 22nd February 2017. This week, we continue our support and involvement with the Foundation through the delivery of training to members of SBIFM and its partners as part of the implementation of the human resources development plan for the Foundation. SBIFM has also recently welcomed two interns from IBCM, in line with the existing agreement with DRC.

We look forward to our future positive and beneficial co-operation with Danish Refugee Council in Mitrovicë/a and Social Business Incubator Foundation Mitrovicë/a.
