IBCM students present at OSCE conference in Vienna

Two IBCM students recently participated in the OSCE Access to Information: Measuring Progress 250 Years On conference in Vienna. Valmir Dobraj, third semester, and Vullnet Halili, seventh semester, were invited to present a report on prisoner welfare to an international audience.Valmir & Vullnet - Vienna Conference - OSCE - Dec 2016

Valmir Dobraj said of the experience “IBCM helped me a lot in supporting me on this venture. Within the courses IBCM delivers I have gained a lot of confidence and ‘know-how’ concerning the giving of presentations. In our first semester we worked particularly with Mr. Niall Ardill, whose guidance has helped me in structuring presentations, making focused points, organising slides and responding to questions.

“It was an amazing experience to take part in such a conference, and to be offered the opportunity to work with an organisation like OSCE. I feel very motivated for the future and am keen to keep cooperation with OSCE and similar organisations.”

OSCE runs numerous activities in Mitrovica, working to strengthen legislation and policies to protect basic human rights.
