Announcement, Death of Graduate Dardana Perteshoni

Dear IBCM Community,

It is with profound sadness that I inform you that on June 26th, one of our students and recent bachelor graduates Dardana Perteshoni, was killed in a car crash along with her sister, Ilirijana Perteshoni, in Gjakova.

This is a sudden and tragic loss for IBCM as a community and for all those who knew Dardana personally. She was a top student and a recent graduate of the Public Service Management (PSM) programme. She was recognized on campus for her social-mindedness and active engagement in the community. She was also known among classmates for being a positive, bright spirit, always smiling, always hard-working and willing to help others.

It is difficult to make sense of a tragic accident of such a young and talented person with a bright future ahead of her. Sharing grief with others can help in the process. For anyone who wishes to join, the funeral will take place today at 17:00 at the Gjakova City Cemetery. IBCM will arrange transportation on a bus leaving the south campus at 14:30.

On behalf of the IBCM community, I wish to express my deepest condolences to the Perteshoni family, and all those who knew and loved her. Let us all take a moment today to remember Dardana and the impact she made in such a short time in this world.
