On 14 December 2015, the International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) held its fifth Academy Profession (AP) graduation. Nineteen students from the Marketing and Management and Environmental and Agricultural Management programmes received two diplomas: one from IBCM and one from partners in Denmark’s Lillebaelt Academy for Professional Higher Education. The AP diploma consists of 120 ECTS and includes one semester of applied learning through a mandatory internship. The AP ceremony was filled with many proud family members, who waved and snapped photos as the graduates filed into the ceremony. IBCM Director, Charlene Miller, welcomed attendees and opened the ceremony: “When you first joined IBCM in September 2013, you were the fifth generation of IBCM students. What must have been passing through your minds, with all lessons in English and an entirely new approach to learning? Now only two years later, this ceremony marks a milestone at the start of your careers. You have completed your first internship, and are even mentoring younger students. You are on the pathway to be the problem solvers and builders in society for your generation, in Kosovo and beyond.” Graduating students were called onto the stage to receive their diplomas. Applause and cheers rang out, and it was a very proud moment for everyone in the audience. The AP graduates now advance into the bachelor level top-up programme, where they are on track to complete their undergraduate studies in February 2017. Congratulations to everyone and best of luck in your bachelor studies!
