“Human Rights in the Field”: post-graduate students visit the new IBCM north campus to learn about human rights and the rule of law in Mitrovica

130 post-graduate students enrolled in the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization (EMA) and the Vienna Master in Human Rights visited the new IBCM north campus building to learn more about living conditions in North Mitrovica. The “Human Rights in the Field” trip was led by Marijana Grandits, Academic Coordinator from the European Interuniversity Centre, Venice, with the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Human Rights in Vienna.

During their time in Mitrovica, the visiting students learned about IBCM, why it was established, the degree programmes it offers, and student life both on and off campus in North Mitrovica. Dragan Tomic, SPARK Country Manager, introduced SPARK projects and IBCM, and spoke to the students about life and development in North Mitrovica. The students also had the opportunity to meet IBCM teachers and students and ask them questions about their teaching and learning experience at IBCM.
